one way

There's definitely something good about hitting rock bottom. You realise then that God is all you have left...and all you really ever had.

...the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."...Then you will defile your idols...you will throw them away" - Isaiah 30

I believe that He's working in my life right now...my teachers are definitely hidden no more.

He is really gracious to me...

When I finally got round to it, I realised that I have so much to thank Him for. I'm blessed and protected in every way, covered behind and before. God has not withheld any blessing from me. If you think about it, you'll realise that God hasn't withheld the slightest bit of His love from you either. He has given us more than enough, far more than we'll ever deserve.

There's nowhere to run from adversity. We can try to endure it on our own, or we can listen intently for the voice of grace that says, "This is the way; walk in it."
