On relationships breaking apart - It must be so painful, having to cut out of your life someone to whom you've given a part of your heart. Memories and other dregs of the past...they never really go away do they. It's just a thought after I spent an inordinate amount of time on facebook today. I saw that people had untagged themselves in photos with their ex, etc. The photos are still there though. And in the same collection of photos, they would have pictures with their new boy/girl-friend. It's just...troubling. Looking at those photos, you see a picture of a divided heart. A trampled and worn heart. The old and the new relationship...one of them is cheapened somehow. Maybe both.
Well, I guess that's the way life is. There is no formula for relationships. But, it doesn't stop me from having the feeling that this kind of love was ever only meant to be shared with one person. Ever.
It helps me understand a little, why God says that if we love Him, we must love Him, and only Him.
Sigh. The heart is deceitful above all else, who can understand it?
