learning

"Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress." - Hebrews 12:1

I thank God that He's been so gracious to me. I was led to Hebrews 12 yesterday and I've been so encouraged by it... I feel like the peace of God has been on me these past two days especially. I'm so glad to be able to praise God even when times are as crap as this. Not because of my own capacity, but because of what He's given me...yea this peace. Faith in things unseen. Trust that He is in control.

My own achievements, my aspirations, these must fade in importance. I want to learn to do what I do for the right reasons. Even now. Not easy, but He is with me. And He gives me strength. He keeps me lifted.

"But God's discipline is always right and good for us...there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."- I'm actually glad he deems me ready to handle this.

"So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet." - Hebrews 12:10-12 - because He upholds me!

"And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish...Think about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him, so that you don't become weary and give up." - Hebrews 12:1-3

Thank You Jesus :)
