the living Word

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

- Isaiah 55:10-11

How true! I find it amazing what the Word of God does in me when I choose to take it in. It causes not just a seismic shift in perspective, but also 'spring cleaning' of my mind - it exposes and clears out the many lies that the world speaks into me.

Aaron once mentioned, "Satan's only power is a believed lie...and the implications of these are massive."

It is the Word of truth that renews our minds by searing away the lies. "Be transformed by the renewing of your minds..."

Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

- Isaiah 55:2
