I'm so glad it's the end of the week! Work has been really tiring and painful and I have sunburn and blisters to prove it. But I get rest tomorrow....yay =)
As for Valentine's Day, well, I spent it working. haha. So it was fairly uneventful for me...but I hear it was great for some others! Gladwin proposed (!), and Val and Alvin finally got together! Hehe...it all makes me happy =)
I just read Bridget's blog just now and I find this quite encouraging, after all the failed marriages I've come across:
"It's true, marriage just gets better with time." It's only when I start focusing on myself that things seem to start spiralling downward. My number one purpose is to serve the Lord, but my second is to serve my husband. And what an honor that is. Such fulfillment comes from walking in that purpose. And when you have two people united in Christ, striving to out-serve each other, that's a really beautiful thing. Happy Valentine's Day... may every day be full of love.
"Striving to out-serve". Now that's something we'll never hear about with secular relationships.
The word 'selfless' has been bugging me for a few months...
God does really amazing things when we forget about ourselves.
